Check-in is from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
Check-out is by 11.00 am

If you expect to arrive outside these times, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to help.

Children

Kilthomas is designed as a peaceful, adult-focused place to stay on an organic working farm and woodland.

Individual yurt bookings are suitable for guests aged 18 and over. Children may be included when all six yurts are booked together as a private group booking. Please contact us before booking so we can confirm the arrangement is suitable for your group.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Kilthomas by prior arrangement. Please provide your dog’s
breed, size and age when booking.
To help protect our guests, animals and surrounding land, the following rules apply:

  • Dogs must be well behaved, kept under control and suitable for a working organic farm and woodland setting.
  • Dogs must not have a history of aggressive behaviour.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead around the farm, near livestock and in shared guest areas.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended in a yurt or elsewhere on the property.
  • Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste responsibly.
  • Please bring your dog’s own bed, towels and anything else they may need during the stay.
  • Dogs are not permitted on beds or other furniture.
  • Owners are responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning or disturbance
    caused by their dog. An additional cleaning or damage charge may apply where necessary.
  • Dog owners must follow all applicable Irish dog-control requirements during their stay.

    Kilthomas reserves the right to refuse or end a dog-friendly stay where a dog is aggressive, repeatedly causes a disturbance or presents a risk to guests, animals or property.
    Please contact us before booking if you are unsure whether Kilthomas is suitable for your dog.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully received and a booking confirmation has been issued.

Cancellations and date changes

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your stay, the following cancellation terms will apply:

  • Cancellations made 40 days or more before the arrival date will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations made 14 to 39 days before the arrival date will receive a voucher worth 75% of the booking value.
  • Cancellations made 7 to 13 days before the arrival date will receive a voucher worth 50% of the booking value.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the arrival date are non-refundable and no voucher will be issued.

Vouchers are valid for two years from the date of issue and may be used towards a future stay at Kilthomas, subject to availability. Any increase in the price of the replacement stay must be paid when the new booking is made.
No-shows and early departures are non-refundable and will not qualify for a voucher.

If Kilthomas needs to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of all payments made or may choose alternative dates, subject to availability.

Changes due to circumstances outside our control

In the unlikely event that adverse weather, safety concerns, regional restrictions or circumstances outside our control prevent us from safely welcoming guests, we may need to amend your booking.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date where possible. We are unable to cover any additional costs or expenses you may incur as a result, so we recommend having suitable travel insurance in place.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers can be used towards a stay at Kilthomas and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift vouchers are valid for five years from the date of purchase. The expiry date will be included on the voucher or confirmation email.

If the value of the voucher does not cover the full cost of the booking, the remaining balance must be paid by the guest at the time of booking.

Kilthomas cannot accept responsibility for vouchers that are lost, stolen, damaged or used without permission.

Smoking policy

Kilthomas is strictly non-smoking.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the yurts, on decking areas, around the sauna and cold plunge, or in any area that may create a fire risk on the farm or woodland.

If there is evidence of smoking or vaping in or around the accommodation, including smoke smell, ash, cigarette butts or damage, guests may be charged for additional cleaning, repair, deodorising or any loss of use caused as a result.

Being mindful during your stay

Kilthomas is a quiet place to slow down and enjoy the farm and woodland surroundings.

We kindly ask guests to be mindful of noise, other guests, wildlife and the working farm environment.

Please keep noise to a respectful level, especially in the evenings and early mornings, so that all guests can enjoy the peace of the setting.
